Overview

R.S. Urja is an EPC service company that executes the design, engineering, procurement, and construction of solar rooftops as well as a ground-mounted power plant. R.S Urja has housed Novasys high-efficiency PV modules which have an efficiency of 20.2% and are used with cutting-edge MONO-PERC technology. ARKA 360 has been a key design and simulation software for R.S Urja for over a year. With the help of SL, R.S Urja not only designed but also was able to close the deal with RC Plasto and installed a tremendous 1.5 MW rooftop solar power plant using approximately 4000 manufactured MONO PERC modules.

RC Plasto site is located in Nagpur, Maharashtra and is spread over 36000 square meters which took the R.S Urja’s design team a few days to complete the detailed site survey.

The site’s usable area for solar installation consists of multiple oriented sheds and RCC roofs which made the designing process complex and time-consuming. To accumulate the desired capacity of 1.5 MWs, the design team decided to move forward with multiple Module Mounting Structures (MMS) for the desired orientation and tilt for solar panels to enhance the generation by reducing overall mismatch losses.

ARKA 360 in-built structure templates made this task easier for R.S Urja by providing them fexibility to choose from various structures according to their needs, which not only helped the design team in reducing losses but also played a major role in design presentation.

ARKA 360 not only took care of simulation but also supported detailed drawing for the construction team for proper installation. CAD export is one of the features that helped R.S Urja in preparing final construction drawings by providing them with Scale 1:1 dimensions of the overall design including modules. With the help of this feature, the design team was able to provide detailed construction drawings for installation with accurate dimensions.

R.S Urja’s 1.5 MW SPV plant is fully operational at RC Plasto site since April, 2021 integrated with a zero-export device. Due to multiple tilt orientations at site, the installed power plant sports fush mount and fxed mount MMS rackings for shed type and RCC type roofs respectively to achieve optimum Performance Ratio.

ARKA 360 made it easy for the team to simulate, design and present the system to RC Plasto. The 3D view feature integrated in the report enhanced the trust and transparency between R.S Urja and RC Plasto. Moreover, the CAD export feature reduced the bandwidth and time of the team by providing them a complete base layout with accurate measurements for installation purposes and made the overall process swift and smooth.
